Molecular Sieve Pervaporation Membrane

Molecular sieve membrane enabling efficient pervaporation separation for solvents and mixtures.
Product Details

Product Overview

The molecular sieve pervaporation membrane is a high-performance separation material that uses NaA-type molecular sieves as the core separation layer. The membrane is formed by in-situ growth on the surface of a tubular porous ceramic support, creating a dense and uniform structure.

With a pore size of approximately 4.2 Å, the membrane offers excellent molecular sieving capability and strong selectivity for water molecules. Its high-aluminum framework provides strong hydrophilicity, enabling efficient and stable dehydration of organic solvents. It is an ideal solution for energy-efficient separation and high-purity extraction.

Working Principle

The membrane operates based on the pervaporation separation mechanism. Driven by a temperature difference or vacuum, water in the liquid mixture is preferentially adsorbed by the membrane and diffuses through the molecular sieve channels. It then evaporates and exits as vapor on the permeate side.

The NaA molecular sieve has a pore size of approximately 4.2 Å, which matches the size of water molecules. This allows water to pass through selectively, while larger organic molecules are effectively retained, achieving highly selective separation and dehydration.
