The helium membrane system is a high-efficiency gas separation solution based on advanced polymer membrane technology for helium extraction and purification.
Using high-performance polymer membranes, the system selectively separates different gas components, enabling efficient recovery and purification of helium even from low-concentration sources.
With a compact structure, stable operation, and low energy consumption, this technology is widely used in helium recovery from natural gas and the production of high-purity helium.
The helium membrane utilizes polymeric membranes (typically polyimide) to separate gases based on differences in solubility and diffusion rates.
When a partial pressure difference exists across the membrane, gases with higher permeability—such as H₂O, H₂, and He—pass through the membrane more quickly and are enriched on the low-pressure side. In contrast, gases with lower permeability—such as N₂, CH₄, and other hydrocarbons—remain on the high-pressure side.
Through this process, helium can be separated and further purified in multiple stages.
· High-Efficiency Separation: Uses polymer hollow fiber membranes for excellent separation performance.
· Robust Structure: Hollow fibers have an outer diameter of approximately 0.2–0.4 mm and an inner diameter of 0.1–0.2 mm, offering high strength and resistance to deformation under pressure.
· Large Membrane Area per Unit Volume: Enhances processing capacity and separation efficiency.
· Excellent Stability: Strong chemical and physical stability, suitable for various operating conditions.
· Long Service Life: Typically exceeds 6 years of operation.
· Compact and Lightweight: Small footprint, low operating cost, and high system efficiency.
· Helium Recovery from Natural Gas: Suitable for extracting and enriching helium from low-helium natural gas streams (typically 0.05%–0.1% He).
· High-Purity Helium Production: Multi-stage separation enables helium purity of up to 99.999% (mol%).
· Industrial Gas Separation: Applied to separation and recovery of helium from mixed industrial gases, improving resource utilization.
· Energy and Gas Processing: Used in natural gas processing, gas purification, and high-value gas recovery systems.
