The crossflow ceramic membrane module is a high-efficiency separation device that uses inorganic ceramic membranes as the filtration medium. The module is made of 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel, providing a robust and corrosion-resistant structure.

Operating in a crossflow mode, the feed liquid flows tangentially across the membrane surface, effectively reducing fouling and improving both membrane lifespan and separation efficiency. This module is suitable for solid-liquid separation in various complex water conditions and is widely applied in industrial wastewater, municipal sewage, food and beverage processing, and biopharmaceutical industries.

Working Principle

In the crossflow ceramic membrane, the liquid flows tangentially along the membrane surface, creating high-speed laminar or turbulent flow. This reduces surface fouling and concentration polarization.

Solid particles in the liquid are retained on the membrane surface, forming a filter cake, while the clarified liquid passes through the membrane to the permeate side. The ceramic membrane offers high mechanical strength and chemical stability, allowing backwashing and chemical cleaning for rapid flux recovery and long-term stable operation.
