Product Overview

The high-loading column-type ceramic membrane is an inorganic ultrafiltration membrane developed from traditional tubular and flat ceramic membrane technologies, specifically designed for water treatment.

Manufactured from high-strength α-Al₂O₃ and sintered at high temperatures, it features excellent heat resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength. Each membrane tube offers a filtration area of 10–25 m², with high packing density and strong treatment capacity, effectively removing suspended solids, bacteria, and colloids.

This membrane is widely used in applications such as safe drinking water, municipal water supply and wastewater treatment, emergency water supply, water reuse, and industrial wastewater treatment.

Working Principle

The column-type ceramic membrane consists of a multilayer asymmetric ceramic structure, including a support layer and a separation layer.

Liquid flows through 2–4 mm channels in the membrane column, creating a cross-flow pattern. Large particles and colloids are retained on the membrane surface, forming a cake layer, while purified water passes through to the permeate side. Proprietary flow channel design optimizes feed and permeate distribution and enhances backwashing efficiency, ensuring high-flux operation.

Ceramic membranes are resistant to high temperatures and chemical corrosion and can withstand high-pressure operation and backwashing, providing long-term stable filtration performance.
