The CDRO spiral flow reverse osmosis (RO) membrane is designed for high-efficiency water treatment and resource reuse systems. Its unique spiral open-channel structure creates a circulating helical flow within the membrane column, providing strong surface scouring and self-cleaning. This significantly reduces membrane fouling and concentration polarization.
The membrane module is suitable for municipal, industrial, and high-pollution water environments, delivering stable high-quality water and improving overall system efficiency.
The CDRO membrane module consists of disc-shaped membrane sheets, a flow distribution plate, a central support rod, and a pressure-resistant membrane housing. Raw water enters the top of the column and flows downward into the lower inlet plate, then into the flow distribution plate.
A “radar-scan” style flow is created between the flow plate and membrane sheets. Protrusion patterns generate turbulence that enhances surface scouring. Water passes through coin-slot openings into the next section, forming a rotating vortex circulation.
Under pressure, water molecules permeate the membrane sheets and are collected through the central tube to produce permeate. The spiral vortex flow continuously reduces concentration polarization, maintains high system efficiency over time, and achieves low energy filtration with a pressure drop of 0.1–0.2 bar per unit area.
