Working Principle
Under the pressure difference on both sides of the membrane, nitrogen and oxygen in the air dissolve and diffuse at different rates. Gases like water vapor and oxygen, which have higher permeation rates, pass through the membrane first, becoming oxygen-rich gas. Nitrogen, which has a slower permeation rate, accumulates on the retention side, resulting in dry, nitrogen-rich gas.
Features of Nitrogen Membrane
● The separation membrane is made of high-polymer hollow fibers.
● These hollow fiber membranes are extremely fine hollow tubes that can withstand high pressure without support materials.
● The outer diameter of the fibers is about 0.2-0.4mm, and the inner diameter is 0.1-0.2mm, maintaining shape under high pressure.
● The effective membrane surface area per unit volume is high, with good chemical and physical stability, and a high oxygen-nitrogen separation coefficient (αO/N).
● Long lifespan, typically over 6 years.
● High efficiency, low cost, compact size, and lightweight.
