Microfiltration Membrane

The specialized microfiltration membrane for biological sample purification.
Product Details

‌Working Principle:

Microfiltration membranes are filtration membranes with pore sizes ranging from 0.1 to 1 micron, mainly used to separate suspended particles, bacteria, and macromolecular colloids from liquids. Microfiltration operates through a sieving mechanism that allows large molecules and dissolved solids (e.g., inorganic salts) to pass through while retaining larger suspended particles and microorganisms. The operating pressure of microfiltration membranes generally ranges between 0.3 and 7 bar, making them suitable for various liquid treatment applications.

Features of Microfiltration Membranes:

Diverse Product Options: Available in standard, irradiated, irradiation-compatible, and autoclave-sterilizable types to meet different application needs.

Various Membrane Fiber Sizes: Multiple fiber inner diameters (0.5, 1.0, 1.5 mm) and pore sizes (3 kD-750 kD, 0.1-0.65 μm) to accommodate different filtration requirements.

High Hydrophilicity and High Throughput: Membranes have good hydrophilicity and high flux, significantly improving processing efficiency.

Biological Safety: Free from animal-derived components, with low bioburden, meeting the stringent requirements of the biopharmaceutical industry.
