Working Principle
The oxygen membrane uses membrane separation technology to increase the oxygen concentration in the air, achieving oxygen enrichment. Wobo’s oxygen enrichment membrane works by allowing oxygen to pass through the membrane faster than other components in the air under pressure. This results in oxygen-enriched air with an oxygen content of 25% to 50%.
Types and Performance of Oxygen Membranes
• Oxygen enrichment membrane modules come in three types: spiral-wound, plate, and hollow fiber.
• Spiral-wound membrane modules: Oxygen concentration of 28-31%.
• Plate membrane modules: Oxygen concentration of 28-31%.
• Hollow fiber membrane modules: Oxygen concentration of 30-50%.
• Oxygen-enriched airflow: 0.04-50,000 Nm³/h.
• For oxygen concentrations around 30% and scales smaller than 50,000 Nm³/h, the investment, maintenance, and operating costs of membrane technology are only 66% to 98% of those for cryogenic and (V)PSA methods. The smaller the scale, the more economical the membrane method.
