Working Principle of Ceramic Membranes

Ceramic membrane filtration operates using a cross-flow process, where the fluid flows rapidly inside the membrane tube. Under pressure, small molecules pass through the membrane as permeate, while larger molecules are retained, achieving separation, concentration, and purification of the fluid. This process is widely used for liquid filtration and separation, offering high efficiency and precision.

Key Features:

High Filtration Precision: Ceramic membranes offer a wide range of absolute precision levels, including 1.2, 0.8, 0.4, 0.2, 0.1, 0.05 microns, and 20, 10, 5, 1 kDa (kilodaltons), suitable for various filtration needs.

Narrow Pore Size Distribution: The membrane's funnel-shaped pore structure enhances anti-fouling capabilities, ensuring high-efficiency separation even under heavy loads.

Resistance to High Temperatures, Pressure, and Chemicals: Ceramic membranes can operate under high temperatures and pressure, with strong resistance to acids and bases (pH range 0-14), offering a long service life.

Cross-Flow Filtration: This technique allows for continuous, stable operation with high throughput, making it ideal for large-scale industrial fluid processing.

Excellent Chemical Stability: The ceramic material is highly chemically stable, resistant to organic solvents, and can be easily cleaned and regenerated even under harsh conditions.

High Mechanical Strength: Ceramic membranes can withstand pressure differentials of up to 1.0 MPa, ensuring stable operation in high-pressure filtration conditions.

Automatic On-Line Backwashing: This technology reduces concentration polarization, improving membrane flux and lowering cleaning frequency, ensuring long-term stable performance.
